AND FORMER CAREER
Her beautiful and complex works are only from live plants and depict, in the greatest of detail, the perfect wonders of plant buds, leaves, seeds and capsules. Marina Virdis’s luxurious compositions vibrate the true life-essence of the plant in real size. Her unique portaits of flowers and plants are done with careful attention, in natural light, in watercolor on paper.
Among her awards is the Gold Medal from the Royal Horticultural Society. At present she is the only elected Italian member of the English Society of Botanical Artists (SBA).
Her works are included in the most important international Botanical Art collections:
The Lindley Library, Royal Horticultural Society, London
Dr Shirley Sherwood Collection, London

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA
